Virtual Town Hall | Why we need more women in power, with Senator Hanson-Young

Join us on May 27th (at 6.15 pm Australian Central Standard Time / 10.45 am Central European Time) for a digital town hall with Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, an Australian Greens Senator for South Australia.

We will be drawing from Senator Hanson Young's experience to discuss the barriers to entering and working in politics for women, and why it is absolutely key to ensure parity all over the world! We will then look at the current COVID-19 crisis, how it specifically impacts women and the way out of it.

About Senator Hanson-Young: she was the first Green senator to be elected in her state, she was the youngest person ever at the age of 25 to be popularly elected to the Australian senate. She is a powerful advocate for women’s rights and women’s position in Australian politics.

Format of the event30 minutes on zoom and broadcasted on social media: 1) 15 minutes of questions and discussions, then 2) 15 minutes of Q&A from the audience. You will receive the link to participate as soon as you confirm your attendance by filling the form!
