Delhi University: Switch to an Eco-friendly search engine NOW!
India is the fourth most affected nation by climate changes in the entire world. Increasing temperature threatens the flow rates of the major rivers such as Ganga, Yamuna and Brahamputra, as well as the threat of heat and cold waves across the nation. The profound effects of climate change are becoming evident in our daily lives. If we don’t change the tide, 1.5 million people will die in India by 2100 due to climate change. This would mean 23,000 climate-related deaths in Delhi alone.
Did you know 3.7% of the global greenhouse emission came from our internet activities? The emission is similar to the amount produced by the airline industry. It’s time to search for a change! Starting from our university!
Sign this petition to push Delhi University to switch to an eco-friendly search engine on campus: "ECOSIA." This company and their partners plant a tree for every 45 searches to offset the carbon emission it produces.
Go green by default, starting from the search engine used in your university!
