Virtual Town Hall | What's happening in Myanmar: 100th day after the military coup

At least 700 people have been killed by security forces since the 1 February 2021 military coup in Myanmar/Burma, thousands have been detained.

On the 100th day after the military coup in Myanmar/Burma, join us with Wai Wai Nu, a former political prisoner in Myanmar/Burma, and the Founder of Women Peace Network. Let's hear the voice of Myanmar/Burma.

Wai Wai Nu is the founder of Women Peace Network, a platform to build peace and mutual understanding between Myanmar’s different ethnicities and to empower and advocate for the rights of marginalized women in Arakan and Myanmar.  

When: May 12 at 6 pm UK time (1 pm New York time)

Format: 60 minutes on zoom and broadcasted on social media: 1) 30 minutes of questions and discussions, then 2) 30 minutes of Q&A from the audience. You will receive the link to participate as soon as you confirm your attendance!
