Fridays for Freedom for October 1st: A day of shame
<REGISTER TO RECEIVE THE SOCIAL MEDIA PACKAGE>
Tibet. Xinjiang. Hong Kong. And the list goes on. China has been cracking down with an iron fist on any kind of dissent both in mainland China and outside. This has to stop!
That's why we are working, through the Wave of Freedom campaign, to push for major democracies to ally, counter China's crackdown on dissent, and Stand With Hong Kong, Tibet, the Uyghurs, Taiwan, and much more! As part of this campaign, we are organizing “Fridays For Freedom”. People across the world organize and partake in protests to make sure that world leaders don't have a choice but to unite.
While our Fridays For Freedom protests normally take place on ... a Friday ..., we will exceptionally hold them on Thursday, Oct. 1. Indeed, October 1st is the national day of the People's Republic of China: there is no better time to make our voice heard and ensure that democracies act meaningfully.
PARTICIPATE ON YOUR OWN
If you cannot make it to a protest because of COVID-19 restrictions in your country, take a picture with sign "Free Hong Kong!" in front of a Chinese Embassy (or in their living room if you can't make it to an Embassy or key landmark). Then, share it on social media, tagging 5 friends and @NOW4humanity!
Fill the form on this page to receive a social media package to participate in the action, regular updates, and you will let our team know that you are on our side!
